I love the way Posh dresses. Granted, she goes a little overboard with the short-shorts and 4-inch heels for a walk with her family, but she always looks chic. You gotta love the attitude! I particularly love this outfit because she pairs her usual body-hugging top, oversized sunglasses, and sky-high shoes with a crisp, flowy-A line pleated Azzedine Alaia dress with sheer stripes. Nautical is always in for summer, but plain stripes on plain tees get old fast. Whenever I see someone wearing a top with a unique and sexy design or cut on the back, I always stop to ask her where she got it. The person usually replies with the name of a foreign country, to which I reply, “Figures. Plaid is not for everyone (plaid reminds me of my dad’s work shirts) but I love how many different kinds of plaid there are: tartan, gingham, argyle, madras. And depending on what colors and material, plaid pieces can have a completely different look and feel from one another. There is definitely a huge difference between a light, summery cotton plaid and a heavy wool plaid. I don’t think that plaid ever technically goes out of style, but it happens to be super hot at the moment and I’m pretty sure that its here to stay well into the fall.

Gold is my new passion when it comes to flashin’ fashion. And I’m not talking about the 24 carat kind. I’m talking the shiny, reflective, metallic variety. Why I have not yet purchased a gold lame’ bikini is beyond me.

It really is better late than never, though, as there are now so many contempo designers flashing back their clothing, shoe, bag, and jewelry lines to gold’s glory days of gaudiness. The result is flashy, yet somehow classy. I love 2009! Anything goes! And I say go for the gold. Sexy gaudy gold, that is.

All the hep cats have touch screen cell phones these days. If you’re looking for a top notch one for yourself, I’ve done the research for you in my Top Touchscreen Phones shopping guide. The original touch screen, the Apple iPhone is still considered the best of its kind on the market in terms of touch navigation. It has the biggest screen and is the most accurate when typing. Internet connection is strong as well. It also has tons of fun and useful apps to download.

The T-mobile G1 is fairly easy to navigate and it has a real keypad that slides out for those who prefer typing on keys to typing on a screen (like I do). The BlackBerry Storm has a good e-mail program and you can edit Word and Excel docs on it, which is a big plus for business users. The Verizon 3G network for BlackBerry is also very reliable, but Storm has no Wi-Fi, so the internet connection is slow when out of network range. Not too many people seem happy about the no Wi-Fi thing.

It’ll be sweet to see if the upcoming Nokia N97 is able to compete with Apple’s forerunner.
