I’m not one who religiously reads her horoscope. Nor am I someone who takes her daily star reading 100% seriously. I do, however, freak out when my horoscope describes my current life situation to a T (which has happened more than once). And, as cliché as it may sound, I think it’s a cute idea to give zodiac-themed birthday gifts to friends (especially since there are so many ridiculously cute/unique/designer accessories to choose from these days).

I’ve found my new favorite online store. It’s actually more of a print/design company that happens to sell shirts with some of their designs on them. If you’re into making political, sarcastic, or encouraging statements with your clothing, you need to check my Screen Print Shirts, Mens + Unisex buyer’s guide on Kazowie. Some are a little un-PC, but in a humorous way. The designs are straightforward and clean, with as few distracting images as possible, which makes the printed message even clearer. The designs are screen printed onto unisex American Apparel tees, which means A.) they’re comfy and B.) they can be worn by guys and girls alike. So that’s cool.

Whenever I see someone wearing a top with a unique and sexy design or cut on the back, I always stop to ask her where she got it. The person usually replies with the name of a foreign country, to which I reply, “Figures. It’s super hot!” But I think these types of tanks are unique, sexy, and necessary additions to any chic chick’s wardrobe, especially for summer. The lack of features on this video recorder outnumbers the features that it does have.

The Flip video recorder is simple, no doubt, but that’s what makes it SO COOL! Some of the perceived “cons” of the Flip: You can’t take still photos, there’s no video light, no optical zoom or special effects, you have to upload your vids to your comp when the memory’s full, and the memory only holds 30 or 60 minutes of footage, among others. Nevertheless, this fun-sized camcorder has become popular in the world of video recording. In its first year, it alone took something like 13% of the camcorder market!

I like Flips because you can tote them around in your pocket and operation is as easy as 1. Turn on, 2. Press red button once for record, once for stop, 3. Press Play for playback, 4. Press Trash for delete, and 5. Slide a button to pop the U.S.B. jack out. Plus, it comes in different colors and several cool designs. You can even customize your own, which is the hot thing for electronics these days. The Mino HD is the newest model. I’ve chosen a couple of my favorite pre-made Flip designs and included the accessories (such as an UNDERWATER CASE?!?! Never thought I’d say this, guys. . .but I’m feelin’ plastic jewelry! Yeah, these pieces are flat, usually monochrome, and could be interpreted as “punk”ish, but lots of the acrylic laser cut jewelry I’ve seen is super-chic, intricate, and pretty. Some is pretty humorous, too (see Badass Bride Acrylic Knuckles and Very Sad Egg Head Ring). I wanted to see how this type of jewelry was made, so I did a (superquick) search for a laser cutter going at some acrylic. It’s pretty cray-cray. Click here to check it out.
